The 9th Du Motion opened with the spectacular Run the Wall race

The ninth edition of Du Motion – Runners’ Days Dubrovnik opened with an attractive yet demanding race along the city walls.
The event began with a minute of silence for Pope Francis, after which, following the chimes of the city bell tower, the race commenced. Ninety participants tested their abilities on the ancient Dubrovnik stone, enjoying impressive views of the city, and not even the rainy weather could dampen the good atmosphere.
The approximately 2.5-kilometre course saw Tonći Borovac finish first in the men’s category with a time of 10:49, while Mihaela Tepšić was the fastest woman, finishing in 15:15.
The Orlando Kids’ Race was cancelled due to weather conditions and the slippery Stradun, which would have posed too great a risk for the youngest runners.
Du Motion continues with the Dubrovnik 21K and the charitable Dubrovnik 5K, which is being run in support of ten-year-old Lukas Hasan. Both races feature more than a thousand participants each, and alongside many Dubrovnik residents and local athletes, recreational runners from nearly 50 countries will take to the city’s streets.
