VoBeHa project moves forward with second transnational meeting in Struga

Following the successful launch of the Volunteering Beyond Handicaps (VoBeHa) project earlier this year in Istanbul, the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2) took place in Struga, North Macedonia, on July 22–23, 2025. This key meeting marked a strategic milestone in advancing inclusive volunteering opportunities in sport for young people with disabilities.
The meeting, hosted by Team Solaris (North Macedonia), gathered partner organizations from Türkiye (Kargenc Club) and Croatia (Dubrovnik Sports Association) at the Europe House Struga, reinforcing their shared mission: to break down barriers and create equal opportunities for volunteering in sports events regardless of ability.
Over two - dynamic days, partners focused on moving from project planning to local implementation. Key sessions included presentation of the VoBeHa Handbook with five practical modules on inclusive volunteering, event management and logistics, venue management and competition organization.
Partners also discussed the design of training sessions and sports events, monitoring tools, selection process for VoBeHa Ambassadors and development of a promotional video. Final thoughts were given for coordination of partner roles for the upcoming Du Motion 2026 in Dubrovnik.
The VoBeHa project continues with the delivery of local training and volunteer engagement activities at sports events in North Macedonia and Turkiye, leading toward the international event in Dubrovnik, 2026. By promoting equal access to volunteering opportunities, VoBeHa supports social inclusion, personal development, and active citizenship.
Volunteering Beyond Handicaps (VoBeHa) is a Small-Scale Erasmus+ Sport project co-funded by the European Union. The project aims to empower young people from 18 to 30 years with disabilities to take active roles in sports volunteering creating that way an inclusive sports communities.
