Du Motion celebrates its first ten years
For the past few days days, Dubrovnik has been living to the rhythm of a great anniversary, the tenth edition of Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik, which brought a record number of almost 3,000 runners from 55 countries to the city this year.
The entire weekend was marked by a very celebratory tone, from the gathering of runners in Lazareti and the exciting Saturday's Run The Wall and the Orlando Kids Race, to Sunday's highlight with the 5 and 21 kilometer races. Stradun, as the start and finish of all races, was the epicenter of events, a place for meetings, shared photos, sincere emotions and hugs after the kilometers run.

"Ten years of Du Motion for us means ten years of friendships and memories. The feeling that we have managed to reach this anniversary edition and grow year after year – both organizationally and in terms of the number of participants – is truly special. Thank you to everyone who has been with us on this journey, and the biggest thank you to the runners who are choosing Dubrovnik as their running destination again," said Du Motion director Alen Bošković.

Sunday's Dubrovnik 21K and Dubrovnik 5K races attracted the largest number of participants to date, but also offered the most sporting excitement.
The fastest half marathon runners were Dario Ivanovski - Skopje Marathon (1:06:30), Silvije Tomac - ON/AK Jastreb 99 (1:14:05) and Željko Cota - TK Dubrovnik (1:14:23) in the men's category, and Briton Hayley Carruthers (1:24:14), Swiss Lara Droz - LA Nidwalden (1:28:21) and Briton Elizabeth Watters (1:31:54) in the women's category.
Ivanovski thus set a new Dubrovnik half marathon record, breaking his own record from last year (1:08:02) by more than a minute and a half.

In the five-kilometer humanitarian race, the men's category was won by Filip Milanović - SRB (18:59), Nemanja Đurić - AK AS 023 SRB (20:18) and Božo Čanić - AK Dubrovnik (20:37). Among the ladies, the fastest were Azra Budalica Mijalić (24:07), Iris Solomun - AK Dubrovnik (25:59) and Meri Anastasov (27:30).

Director Alen Bošković was presented with special recognition on the occasion of the 10th edition of the event by representatives of Monterey, California, a city that is a friend of Dubrovnik, and the leaders of the Ohrid Trcat Athletic Club, who wanted to highlight Du Motion's contribution to the development of sports, the organization of racing events and the cooperation between the cities of Ohrid and Dubrovnik with their award.

Thus, a major chapter of this popular racing event was completed, but at the same time the door was opened to all future stories that will be written on the streets of Dubrovnik. The organizers have already announced the next edition for April 24 and 25, 2027, inviting runners to reserve these dates for Du Motion in their calendars, because Dubrovnik always offers one more reason to return.
