The celebratory 10th Du Motion opened with Run The Wall race
The tenth anniversary edition of Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik opened today with an attractive race along the city walls.
101 runners decided to test their speed and agility on the ancient Dubrovnik stone, while enjoying the beautiful view of the city and the phenomenal atmosphere on Stradun, where all races start and finish.
This year, the fastest runners over the approximately 2.5-kilometer course were Marin Desnica (10:56) in the men's category and Rebecca Gessat from Germany (13:25) in the women's category. Rebecca also set a new women's race record - she ran the walls just one second faster than Australian Danielle Sansonetti, who had held the record since 2023.

This was followed by the Orlando Kids' Race, which brought together about five hundred kindergarteners and younger elementary school children, filling Stradun with laughter and joy.

Before the start of Saturday's races, Du Motion director Alen Bošković presented a special "10 out of 10" award on stage to Biljana Ivanova and Goran Antičević, runners who participated in all 10 editions of the event.
Du Motion continues tomorrow with the Dubrovnik 21K races and the Dubrovnik 5K charity race, which this year is run for children without parental care, as a joint initiative of Du Motion and the "Dad is Dad" association. In addition to numerous Dubrovnik citizens and local runners, recreational runners from over 50 countries around the world will take to the streets of Dubrovnik.
