VoBeHA (Volunteering Beyond Handicap) is an international project co-financed by the European Union, whose goal is to encourage the participation of people with disabilities in volunteering at sports events and to improve the training skills of volunteers who work with people with disabilities.

As one of the main results of the VoBeHA project, a manual was created for organizers of sports events, volunteer coordinators and associations that include people with disabilities in volunteering. The manual summarizes the experiences of partners from several countries and offers very specific guidelines: how to design volunteer positions adapted to different types of disabilities, how to conduct inclusive education of volunteers, what to pay attention to in communication, logistics and security, and how to evaluate activities and retain volunteers after the end of each event.

The practical value of the manual is that it does not stop at theory, but starts from real situations from sports events and offers ready-made examples of tasks, organizational solutions and educational modules that can be applied and adapted to other cities and events. Thus, the VoBeHA manual becomes a tool that helps organizers to open volunteering to everyone, and to enable volunteers with disabilities to have an equal, visible and safely organized role in sports.

The manual is available for free download in several language versions:

VoBeHa manual - Croatian

VoBeHa manual - English

VoBeHa manual - Turkish
