Everything is ready for the 8th Du Motion
We are only a few days away from the eighth edition of Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik, which again attracted running enthusiasts from all over the world to Dubrovnik.
"We have record numbers again, all races are sold out and we expect 2,700 participants from as many as 50 countries," said Du Motion director Alen Bošković.
Everything starts on Saturday, April 27, with the attractive but also demanding Run The Wall race, turning the globally known symbol of the city into an exclusive race track. On the same day, Stradun will echo with the laughter and squeals of cheerful Dubrovnik kindergarteners and younger elementary school children, participants in the Orlando Kids' Race.
Sunday, April 28, is reserved for the Dubrovnik 21K, Croatia's "most international" race, sold out months in advance, which will be run on a slightly changed route this year, and the citizens' charity race Dubrovnik 5K, whose thousand participants will run for ten-year-old Marko Akrap.
Ahead of us is a weekend in which the whole city will be in motion, and hundreds of volunteers from primary and secondary schools, numerous city services, the Red Cross, sports and car clubs, and HGSS will make sure everything is in perfect order.
"We invite our fellow citizens to join us in cheering along the race course or on the Stradun. Come and enjoy the amazing atmosphere, greet the runners because your support will be important to them. Together we can create an unforgettable experience for all Du Motion participants", Bošković concluded.
