Mid-term Evaluation Meeting held in Sakarya, Türkiye

On 8 February, the project consortium came together to discuss the mid-term evaluation of the project and present the “Climate Footprint Measurement Application” which was created by the Faculty of Environmental Protection of Educons University, in Sakarya, Türkiye.

In the previous meeting of the project, the “Climate Footprint Measurement Program”, which aims to calculate the carbon emission of the sports clubs, was presented to the partners to be implemented by sports clubs. The program has been implemented by 30 sports clubs from Turkiye, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Greece and Bulgaria. Not only the carbon releases of these sport clubs have been calculated by the program, but also these sports clubs organize different green activities to turn their carbon releases neutral.

During the meeting, every partner made a presentation of what they have done until now in the project, and all the project activities and project processes are evaluated. Then, the “Climate Footprint Measurement Application” was presented by the Educons University to partners to keep calculating the carbon emissions of the sport clubs via application.

As C Zero Sport Clubs, we are thrilled to be part of this initiative by creating an application for the sports clubs for a green and livable planet.
