Seventh Runway Run held at Dubrovnik Airport

The Runway Run race, organized by Du Motion in cooperation with Ruđer Bošković Airport for the seventh year in a row, attracted numerous domestic runners to Dubrovnik Airport on Friday, March 6, as well as recreational runners from Montenegro, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Slovakia, the USA, Panama and France.

They were all able to enjoy running in an unusual and always inspiring location with excellent weather conditions, which ultimately helped them achieve good results.

Of the 209 runners who started the race, the five-kilometer course was run the fastest this time by Marin Desnica - TK Dubrovnik (17:55), Mario Miladin - PTŠD (18:11) and Dario Milin - TK Dubrovnik (19:31) in the men's race, and Monika Tadić - AK Fit/AK Runners Livno (21:32), French woman Adeline Frayssinet (21:41) and Petra Stanković - TK Dubrovnik (22:06) in the women's category.

"Runners know how rare it is to have an opportunity like this, so registrations were flooded in immediately, the same day we opened them. We have a community of people who love running in such special locations, which makes us very happy as promoters of recreation and a healthy lifestyle, and we hope that their number will continue to grow year after year. Our main event is ahead of us, the jubilee tenth edition of Du Motion- Runners’ Days Dubrovnik, where, in addition to participants from all over the world, we also expect a large number of our local runners of all generations," said Du Motion director Alen Bošković.

The globally recognized running event will take place this year on April 25th and 26th, combining the already sold-out Dubrovnik 21K and the Run to the Walls races, as well as the Dubrovnik 5K citizens' charity race and the Orlando Children's Race.
