21K in Dubrovnik prison

21K in Dubrovnik prison

If you thought the only connection between running and prison can be a prison break, this will prove you otherwise!
Last Friday a half marathon was held in the Dubrovnik prison with the participation of three runners: a prisoner who was previously an active athlete, a professional teacher-chef who runs recreationally and a judicial police officer who ran the course in the official uniform and boots.

The runners ran the 21 km long track in 470 laps 45 meters long and achieved good times: 1st place 2:16:30, 2nd place 2:28:50, 3rd place 2:58:25. At the end of the race, they were awarded with medals and gifts (backpacks, T-shirts).

Du Motion was happy to assist in the organization of this unique event!
