The fastest on the Pelješac Bridge – Rita Biliš and Luka Rajčević

There are races remembered for their results, and those remembered for the feeling they leave behind. The Pelješac Bridge Run belongs to the latter—because you know you’ve run where only a few ever get the chance, and that’s something you never forget.
For the fourth year in a row, Du Motion and Hrvatske ceste have organized this special race, held on the eve of Statehood Day and sold out in less than 24 hours. The limited number of starting spots—just 400—were filled by runners from 11 countries, including Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, the USA, and Panama.
The fastest among them this year were Rita Biliš (21:26) in the women’s category and Luka Rajčević (20:16) in the men’s. Rita Biliš also set a new women’s course record for the Pelješac Bridge Run.
But this race isn’t just for seasoned competitors; families, recreational runners, active lifestyle enthusiasts, and those who simply want to experience the Pelješac Bridge in a unique way all take part. All of them ran at sunset, in both directions, covering a total distance of 5.5 kilometers, with breathtaking views and an atmosphere few running courses can match.
The overall rankings and results for all participants can be found at this link.
“This race is unique—not just for its location, but for the emotions it brings. The bridge symbolizes connection, and you can feel that every step of the way. This year we increased the number of spots, but interest remains high. The race sold out again in record time, which proves we’ve created something truly special,” said Alen Bošković, director of Du Motion.
For all those who missed out on registration this year—a new opportunity awaits next year. Until then, photos and stories from the bridge are circulating among runners who know: this is a race you simply can’t miss
