The Runway Run, an extraordinary race held at Dubrovnik Airport, gathered around 200 runners this Friday, March 7, for its sixth edition.

Most participants were local runners, but recreational athletes from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, the United Kingdom, the USA, and Colombia also joined. Favorable weather conditions and the inspiring location motivated participants to achieve excellent results.

The fastest runners were Željko Cota from TK Dubrovnik (16:05), Goran Pulig from TK Dubrovnik (17:44), and Dejan Babić from D3 (17:58) in the men's category, while Olivia Bailey from Hinckley Running Club (18:19), Rita Biliš from AK Fit (19:45), and Marija Vijolić-Hilić (21:58) led the women's category. Cota broke his own record from last year and set a new one, while Bailey established a new women's record, surpassing the previous record held by Made Žeravica since 2021.

"The atmosphere was fantastic, as always when we run on the runway of Ruđer Bošković Airport. It's great to see many familiar faces returning year after year and participating in our other races, including those part of Du Motion - Runners' Days Dubrovnik, our main event just fifty days away," said Du Motion director Alen Bošković.

One of the most renowned running events in the region will be held this year on April 26-27, featuring sold-out races such as Dubrovnik 21K and Run The Wall, alongside the charity Dubrovnik 5K race and Orlando Kids' Race.
